El refrentado del tubo consite en poner en conformidad la extremidad de un tubo o de un accesorio y actúa en 3 aspectos : la perpendicularidad de la cara del tubo (mantenimiento) - el estado de superficie - un ajuste de longitud.
Refrentado sin rebaba, la viruta sale hacia el exterior del tubo.
